Belton High Basketball Standouts Sign Intentions to Play in College
Two Belton High School senior basketball players signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers on Wednesday in a ceremony at the BHS athletic complex.
TJ Johnson will play basketball at Lipscomb University while Esperanza Moreno will play at Temple College.
“These are two great student-athletes who poured into their high school basketball programs,” said Sam Skidmore, Belton ISD athletics director. “They worked hard on the court and in the classroom, and we are incredibly proud of them and are excited to be able to celebrate their accomplishments with them and their families.”
Coaches, teammates, family and friends gathered Wednesday for the milestone event.
“We believe that no matter how far they travel in their lives and what great success they might have, they will always be Belton Tigers,” Skidmore said.
