Meet Jessica Razo
Current title/school? Menu Coordinator in Nutrition Services
What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? My coworkers and the flexibility to come up with creative ideas to improve school meals. The hardest part about creating menus, especially now and during COVID, is meeting guidelines while we experience food shortages due to the imbalance in supply and demand.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I haven't grown since the eighth grade! I'm 4' 11".
What was a pivotal moment in your career? A pivotal moment in my career was when I made a career change to come to Belton ISD after spending 21 years as a healthcare professional, professor and medical researcher. It's been a positive experience and one of the best career decisions I've made. When you look forward to going to work every day and working with the people you're surrounded by, you know you're where you should be.
Academics? Bachelor of Science from Austin Peay State University, Master in Public Health from Benedictine University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Science from Trident University International.
