Student-Athlete Standouts Sign Intentions to Play in College

Four Belton High School seniors signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers on Wednesday in a ceremony at the BHS athletic complex.

Kade Norwood will play baseball at Our Lady of the Lake University, McKenzie Mansell will play volleyball at East Texas Baptist University, Emily Revis will play volleyball at the University of Dallas and Bryan “Itty” Henry will play football at the University of Houston.

“Days like today make me very proud to be the athletic director in Belton ISD,” said Sam Skidmore. “I’ve seen these kids work so hard at their sport and in the classroom over the years and today we see the payoff — a commitment to play at the next level. We are so proud of them and are excited to celebrate this well-deserved accomplishment.”

Coaches, teammates, family and friends gathered Wednesday for the milestone event.

“We believe that no matter how far they travel in their lives and what great success they might have, they will always be Belton Tigers,” Skidmore said.
