BISD Replacing Logos on Turf at Stadium
Tiger Field, located at Belton High School, is being updated this summer to make the facility more appropriate for district-wide use.
The turf in the end zones that included BHS logos is being replaced with the wording “Belton ISD.” The 50-yard line will now be marked with a Belton ISD Athletics logo, and school-specific signage on the scoreboard will be replaced with “Belton ISD Athletics.”
“A district stadium should be inclusive for all the teams who use it,” said Sam Skidmore, athletics director. “Since Tiger Field is now the home field to both our varsity football teams — Belton High School and Lake Belton High School — we wanted to visually symbolize that.”
The updates are expected to be completed before the first home games of the season. The Tigers take on Hendrickson at 7 p.m. on Aug. 26 while the Broncos take on Buda Johnson at 7 p.m. on Sept. 2.
