Meet Pete Ramirez

Current title/school? Coordinator of Emergency Preparedness

What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? I'm inspired to work in Belton ISD because the school community comes together to support and empower all students to prepare for their future. I admire staff who seize opportunities to connect with students and guide them to realize their dreams.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I am a high school graduate of Belton High School. I attended Belton schools from the first through 12th grades on campuses that included Leon Heights, Tyler, Southwest, Belton Junior High (now known as BECS), and was the first graduating class of the current BHS campus in 1979.

What was a pivotal moment in your career? A pivotal moment for me was retiring from law enforcement after 32+ years to enter the world of public education at Belton ISD. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of Belton ISD.

Academics? Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and Master of Public Administration from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University)
