Current title/school? Spanish teacher and JV cheer coach

What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? Teaching in the community where I grew up, where I reside, and where my children attended school and graduated. Most importantly, I'm teaching at my alma mater.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I'm the first member of my family to graduate from college. English is my second language. Also, I tried out for Tigo and didn't make it, but my daughter is the current Tigo.  

What was a pivotal moment in your career? Graduation day after COVID-19 hit in 2020. One of my students walked up to me with a glow and a smile and told me, "I did it!" Being a teacher is not easy, but it's all worth it in the end.

Academics? Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
