Meet Elizabeth Seeger
Current title/school? Second-grade teacher at Chisholm Trail Elementary.
What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? My grandchildren attend BISD schools — from elementary to high school! Being a part of this educational system makes me very happy and proud.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I love adventure and the outdoors. I've hiked across the Grand Canyon three times and climbed the highest mountain peaks in New Mexico and Colorado!
What was a pivotal moment in your career? My district, at the time, asked me to participate in an inclusive, co-teaching classroom. My kindergarten class (22 students) was combined with an Early Childhood Awareness class (7 students, many with learning and emotional disabilities). This was the most diverse class I had ever taught! At the end of the year, my co-teacher and I were invited to present at a conference in Houston demonstrating our routines, successes and missteps. What a challenging and eventful time in my career!
Academics? Bachelor of Science in education from Baylor University and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi.
