Belton ISD’s schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, and there will be no classes while teachers and staff participate in the district’s second annual Recharge Conference.
The day devoted to professional development is part of efforts to foster a culture where every student and staff member is valued, supported and engaged.
“We believe that each and every employee is a learner,” Vickie Dean, director of professional learning, said. “It’s important for our staff to engage with each other, and the professional learning provided through a conference provides this opportunity.”
Schools and offices will reopen on Feb. 21 for teachers and staff, but it’s a student holiday, so students will not return to class until Feb. 22.
