Belton ISD Celebrates Staff in New Video Series

A new video initiative in Belton ISD is celebrating the great work of the district’s teachers and staff.

“World-Class Employee” videos, which began debuting on the district’s Facebook and Twitter accounts in February, feature footage of a teacher or staff member in action. A voice-over explains the educators’ positive impact on the Big Red Community.

“It’s an effort to more widely celebrate the people behind the great work happening in our schools,” Jennifer Bailey, executive director of communications and community engagement, said. “These videos give the larger community a peek into how our employees are impacting students and families on a daily basis. And it gives their students and colleagues a chance to celebrate them.”

Robyn Jackson, a fifth-grade teacher at Charter Oak Elementary, was the first to be featured.

“I’m honored by the kind words the parent said in the video about how I had impacted their student and family,” she said. “It feels good to know my work is making a difference, and it means a lot to work in the same district where my own boys attend school. I’m also grateful to be surrounded by hundreds of other educators in Belton ISD, in a variety of capacities, who are working hard every day because it’s what’s best for our kids.”
