On April 28, Belton ISD will wear purple to celebrate Month of the Military Child.
“These students are amazing and resilient,” Cassandra Spearman, executive director of student services, said. “They bring such unique experiences to our district. We are fortunate to have thousands of them in our schools across Belton ISD — almost a third of our student body. They are an asset to our community.”
Many of the district’s schools have celebrated military students all month long by wearing purple and recognizing their sacrifices at celebrations and events.
“We have a tremendous partnership with our neighbors at Fort Hood, and it’s a bonus to our school district to be able to serve so many of their military families,” Spearman said.
