Centennial Glory: Belton ISD Football Coach Reaches a Milestone
On Friday the 13th, while some may fear superstition, the contrary was true in Belton. Belton High School’s Coach Brett Sniffin celebrated his 100th win as the head football coach that evening. With the Friday Night Lights beaming at Tiger Stadium, Belton's 27-22 conference victory over Connally High School was the win that made history for Coach Sniffin.
Coach Sniffin has a reputation for unwavering dedication and an unyielding spirit. The 100th victory was evidence of his commitment to the sport and his unrelenting pursuit of excellence.
Athletic Director Sam Skidmore stated, "Coach Sniffin's 100th win was more than just a number; it was also a reflection of his leadership, ability to inspire and motivate players, and the trust he's built within his team. Great leaders are only as good as the people working with them. This achievement is also a testament to his assistant coaches and the work they put in alongside Coach Sniffin.”
This 100th win represents his consistency, resilience, and passion that has driven him to push past obstacles, adapt to changing dynamics, and always strive for greatness.
Each of those wins is a chapter in a larger story—one filled with challenges, triumphs, lessons learned, and bonds forged. Coach Sniffin has been in education for 32 years and with Belton ISD since 2020. 25 of Coach Sniffin's wins are with the Belton Tigers. It's a legacy that players, fellow coaches, fans, and future generations will look up to with respect and admiration.
Coach Sniffin attributes his success to his players, coaches, and family. He stated, "Without their support, there would be no success."
