Mike Morgan brings 17 years of experience within the district, having previously held the role of Assistant Superintendent of Operations since June 2019. His journey with the district began in July 2007 as Assistant Director of Athletics and a coach, progressing to the position of Director of Athletics from February 2017 until June 2019. Prior to joining Belton ISD, Morgan was the athletic director and head football coach of Gatesville ISD.

Morgan earned his Bachelor of Exercise Sports Science degree from Southwest Texas State University and later pursued a Master of Coaching and an Athletic Administration degree from Concordia University Irvine. He is currently working towards completing his Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University, expected to be awarded in December 2024.
