Jeff Norwood was elected in 2016 to serve on the Belton ISD Board of Trustees for Area 1. He currently serves as vice president.
Norwood is a partner with The Nitsche Group, an independent insurance agency, where he has worked since 1998 after graduating from Texas A&M University.
He is married to his wife, Misty, a special education teacher at Sparta Elementary School. The couple has two sons who attend Belton schools.
In addition to his work with BISD, Norwood serves as vice president of the Belton FFA Booster Club and is a past board member of the Belton Youth Baseball Association.
Norwood grew up in College Station and has lived in the Belton area since 2003.
“I was not looking to run a campaign, but when I learned that Penny Digby was stepping down from the school board, I decided to step up and volunteer my time,” Norwood said. “This is a great school district and a board that works well together. I look forward to doing my part and giving back to the community.”
