Janet Leigh was first elected in 2017 to one of two At-Large positions on the Board. 

A proud 1989 graduate of Belton High School, Janet's ties to the community run deep. Her sons are also BHS graduates, further solidifying her investment in the school district. Janet's background as a teacher at Miller Heights and Pirtle Elementary Schools gives her firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing students and teachers in Belton ISD.

Janet's dedication to the community extends beyond her role on the Board. She has served on numerous BISD committees and is actively involved in organizations such as Helping Hands Ministry, and the Rotary Club of Temple, and served as a volunteer for United Way of Central Texas. 

Janet Leigh is a pillar of the Belton community. Her passion for education, combined with her extensive experience and community involvement, make her an outstanding advocate for students, teachers, and families in Belton ISD.
