Janet Leigh


Janet Leigh was first elected in 2017 to one of two At-Large positions on the Board. 

Leigh is married to David K. Leigh and is the mother of Connor and Rush Leigh, graduates of Belton High classes of 2014 and 2016. She is a proud 1989 graduate of BHS where she played in the Marching 100 and was Tigo her senior year.

Leigh previously taught at Miller Heights and Pirtle Elementary Schools.

Before her election to the Board of Trustees, she served on BISD community panels such as Long-Range Planning and Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation. She now volunteers in the Temple-Belton community as VP of Allocations for United Way of Central Texas, Helping Hands Ministry and the Rotary Club of Temple.

“Belton ISD gave my sons and I fantastic educational experiences and provided me a fulfilling career. To now have the opportunity to serve as a trustee for the district that I love is one of the greatest honors of my life."
