Janet Leigh was elected in May 2017 to one of two At Large positions on the board, and currently serves as Secretary. She is married to David K. Leigh. The mother of two Belton High School graduates, Leigh is also an alumna of the school and was Tigo, during her senior year. Leigh previously taught at Miller Heights and Pirtle Elementary Schools, and more recently, has been actively involved in the district serving on the Belton ISD’s Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee and the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation Board. She volunteers in the Temple-Belton community as VP of Allocations for United Way of Central Texas and serves weekly at Helping Hands Ministry.
