Rucker Preston was elected in 2023 as Trustee At-Large for Belton ISD. 

Preston is the Executive Director for Family Promise of Bell County. He previously directed Helping Hands Ministry of Belton. Preston received his master’s in social work from Baylor University and has a decade of teaching experience as a faculty member for Baylor and as a public-school teacher. He has served on numerous BISD committees and is currently a board member for the United Way of Central Texas and the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation. 

While Preston grew up in Fort Worth, he and his wife Kim have called Belton home since 2006. Their two sons have attended Belton ISD schools since kindergarten.
