Manuel Alcozer, President
Manuel Alcozer was appointed to the Board in 2018, where he now serves as Board President, leading with over 30 years of experience as a local attorney.
Mr. Alcozer is a true product of Belton schools, graduating from Belton High School in 1980. His deep-rooted connection to the district is further strengthened by his wife Rebecca, a former culinary arts teacher at the high school, and their three children, who all attended Belton schools. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Alcozer worked as a registered respiratory therapist. His commitment to this field continues as he chairs the Advisory Committee for the Respiratory Care program at Temple College.
Mr. Alcozer's leadership extends beyond the Board. He has served as vice president of development for the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation and dedicated two terms to the District 8 Grievance Committee for the State Bar of Texas.
“Belton has been my home for the vast majority of my life and I care very deeply about our community and way of life here. The stability and quality of the schools is an important part of that, and I view this opportunity as a privilege to serve the needs of the students of BISD.”
